About The Barnacles

The Barnacles are a mixed a cappella shanty group, formed in 2018 as a small offshoot of our parent choir, Folks in Harmony. Since then, we have grown to eleven members, creating a rich and vibrant harmony that brings our songs to life.

Our focus is on the joy of singing, sharing our music, and entertaining audiences wherever we go. We strive to perform our shanties to the highest standard while bringing our unique harmonies into the wider community. We love performing and involving audiences in our songs, creating a fun and memorable experience at venues across the South.

All of our performances are in support of charity — whether benefiting our own chosen causes or other organisations. Every penny of the fees we receive or money collected at events goes directly to charity.
